Men Running 42:03 or Faster, Women 50:14 Eligible for Random Drawing for “Pro” Treatment in 2021
Falmouth, MA (July 28, 2020) – It’s tough to find competitive challenges in these COVID-19 times, but the New Balance Falmouth Road Race At-Home Edition is offering registrants a twist, based on the 100th-fastest time from the 2019 race.
In 2020, every male who runs 42:03 or faster and any female who runs 50:14 or faster for the 7-mile “At-Home” race will be automatically entered into a drawing to win an Elite VIP Experience for the 2021 race. The package will include:
- Complimentary entry into the 2021 race
- Travel reimbursement (up to $750)
- A three-night stay with a host family
- Transportation with the elite field to the start line in Woods Hole
- Two VIP Finish Line Viewing Tent tickets and two VIP Post-Race Party tickets
There will be only one winner; men and women will be included in the same drawing. To be eligible, runners must submit visual documentation of the 7-mile distance and their finishing time via a recognized method such as Garmin, Strava, RunKeeper, etc.
The 48th running of the New Balance Falmouth Road Race will be celebrated as a virtual event beginning August 15 – on what would have been the birthday of late founder Tommy Leonard – and concluding on August 29, with runners covering 7 miles in their own neighborhoods at any time during that period.
Registration is available at falmouthitf.wpengine.com.
