How do I get to the Falmouth in the Fall Road Race?

Due to the popularity of the race, there may be heavy traffic

From Logan Airport to the Falmouth in the Fall Road Race – UPDATE

  • Follow signs for Ted Williams Tunnel
  • Proceed toward I-93
  • Exit 24 toward I-93 South, exit in on the LEFT side
  • You are now on the Southeast Expressway heading toward the South Shore
  • At the major split – go RIGHT heading for Rte. 24 South (Brockton) and Rte. 95
  • Three miles later take LEFT exit for Route 24 South & 495 (Brockton – Fall River)
  • Follow Route 24 (15-18 miles) to Route I-495 (South – Cape Cod)
  • Stay on I-495 for 20-25 miles until you cross the Bourne Bridge
  • Exit the rotary on the OPPOSITE side to Route 28 – “Falmouth and the Islands”
  • Exit at Brick Kiln Road
  • At the bottom of the ramp go LEFT onto Brick Kiln Road
  • One mile turn LEFT at the first set of lights, Gifford St.
  • Falmouth High School will be on your LEFT

From the Massachusetts Turnpike – UPDATE

  • Mass. Pike (East or West) to I-495 Exit
  • Keep RIGHT at the fork in the ramp
  • To I-495 South
  • After about 58 miles, I-495 becomes 25 E
  • Continue until you cross the Bourne Bridge
  • Exit the rotary on the OPPOSITE side to Route 28 – “Falmouth and the Islands”
  • Exit at Brick Kiln Road
  • At the bottom of the ramp go LEFT onto Brick Kiln Road
  • One mile turn LEFT at the first set of lights, Gifford St.
  • Falmouth High School will be on your LEFT

From Providence, Rhode Island, T.F. Green Airport – UPDATE

  • Exit the airport and onto I-95 North (Providence)
  • 3-4 miles up I-95 bear RIGHT onto Route I-195 (Cape Cod)
  • Follow I-195 to the end of the road (40 miles), follow signs for Falmouth – Bourne Bridge
  • Go over the bridge.
  • Exit the rotary on the OPPOSITE side to Route 28 – “Falmouth and the Islands”
  • Exit at Brick Kiln Road
  • At the bottom of the ramp go LEFT onto Brick Kiln Road
  • One mile turn LEFT at the first set of lights, Gifford St.
  • Falmouth High School will be on your LEFT

From Mid-Cape and Down-Cape – UPDATE

  • Follow Route 28 South to the Mashpee Rotary
  • At the Rotary take Route 151 towards North Falmouth
  • Take Rte. 151 to the third traffic light and take a LEFT onto Sandwich Road
  • About three miles down Sandwich Road, take a RIGHT at the first set of lights onto Brick Kiln Road
  • At the next set of lights take a RIGHT onto Gifford St.
  • Falmouth High School will be on your LEFT
